Dresden 75 years ago.

13th February 1945 saw the dreadful bombing of the beautiful city of Dresden that was described before it’s destruction ‘The Venice of the North.’ In my writing as a playwright I try to highlight the horrors and futility of war. Although Dresden was a German city, the enemy of the allies however we must remember that 25,000 people died in one night. Most of those that were killed were women, children and none combatants. c1_3524814dresden-bombing-gettyimages-514700324
